Weekends Away – what to take

It can sometimes seem that you have to pack everything but the kitchen sink for just one night away with a little one, but as Little A has got older the smaller my list has become.  We take with us..

CLOTHING
WASHBAG
NAPPIES/WIPES ETC.
SLEEPBAG
TRAVEL COT
SHEETS
BLACKOUT BLINDS
BABY MONITOR
FOOD/BEAKERS
FAVOURITE TOYS
TRAVEL HIGH CHAIR
DUMMIES
SHOES

To pick out a couple of gems from the list above.

BLACKOUT BLINDS:

We love these.  Ours are by The Gro Company and simple sucker to the windows.  We bought two to cover any window eventuality and ensure as much shut eye as possible from Little A.

RRP: £29.99 (£ 19.99 at Mothercare when sale is on). Click here for link

TRAVEL HIGH-CHAIR:

Depending on space we alternate between these two travel high chair options.  Our favourite all rounder is the Phil and Ted’s Me Too.  It simply clamps to the table top and Little A sits with the rest of us.

RRP: £45 but I got mine in the Kiddicare sale, click link to view

If space is limited I just pop this Chair Harness in my handbag.  It folds up incredibly small and you can attach it to most dining chairs and it is machine washable.

RRP: £ 11.99 at Amazon, click here to view.

Top Tips: When Little A was a baby I also loved Medela Microwavable Sterilisation bags for bottles and dummies and Tommy Tippee disposable bibs for flights.
