Riding on the back of the huge success of Minky Mary the Dummy Fairy, I have now sought out and adopted a very sweet and rosy cheeked Elf. Yes that’s right our very own Elf. The Elf of the Shelf is hugely popular stateside and is a fun Christmas tradition for everyone to enjoy. Once delivered your gift set comprises of a little Elf doll and accompanying storybook.
In a nutshell, the premise is that Father Christmas has assigned you an Elf who watches the goings-on in your house all day long and flies back to the North Pole to relay good/bad behaviour every night. The next day your Elf will have ‘moved’ to a new position in your house, which is fun for the parents to get creative with, and will have your Little Ones’ leaping out of bed racing to see where they have moved to.
I can’t wait to see Little A’s face when our Elf arrives (thinking of bringing him out December 1st) and looking forward to repeating the magic next year when the same Elf will appear again.
