Home Sweet Home – wendy houses for kids

Wandering around the House & Garden Spirit of Christmas fair last week I discovered the world of Win Green.  Having been on the lookout to replace Little A’s now defunct playpen with a wendy house I could not have found a better stall.  Win Green’s whimsical designs make the perfect Christmas presents and I like the idea that they could be passed down the generations.  Made from 100% cotton, their children’s playhouses come with a range of coordinating accessories including toy bags, bean bags, aprons, decorative hangings and cushions – all fantastic suggestions for Grandparents at a loss with what to buy this Christmas.

The playhouses for boys include a Garage, Fire Station and Barn which are all bright and colourful, trimmed with bright ginghams and adorned with cars, fire engines and tractors. The girls’ collection is of a more delicate palate and includes a Fairy Cottage, Butterfly Cottage and Gingerbread Cottage; trimmed with pretty mini-ginghams and decorated with fairies, butterflies, flowers and cupcakes.

We opted for the Toy Shop playhouse as we thought it would be a winner for both boys and girls and I loved its old fashioned and traditional charm.  Honestly it is one of the best things we have ever bought and even though it is expensive it certainly beats the mountain of plastic toys that we have accumulated in the last year.  For those budding Cowboys and Indians there is also a rather fab wigwam.  I think it is about time to start writing that letter to Father C…

All in the details:

All playhouses and wigwams by Win Green
Playhouses come in two sizes Small and Large.
Pricing: Small £200, Large £235

This was my favourite stall at the Spirit of Christmas fair too, they are gorgeous! I could hardly tear my 3 year old away from the beach house, we would have bought it in a flash if I hadn’t been having to watch the purse strings!
