A quacking good time!

Ok so maybe it isn’t quite membership to the Arts Club but Little A and I are excited to have become fledgling members of the WWT (thats Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust to those not acquainted). Yes it might not be the hottest ticket in town but it certainly is a very pleasant one given the confines of city living. Our nearest centre is WWT London in Barnes and it certainly does feel like yo u have escaped to the country once you are there. Little A was a big fan of the new otters that have taken up residence and there are lots of birdies to see. There is a restaurant for lunch and a bit of an adventure playground to burn off some steam. Good for newborns as makes for a great pram walk. Feels good to know you are doing your tiny bit for wetland conservation too.

All in the detail:

WWT has nine centres across the UK – to find your nearest click here
1 Adult year membership is £37 (living in Fulham I got the ‘local’ rate of £24.67)
Children go free until they are 4 years old.

We are already excited about the Winter Wonderland weekend (8-9 December) when we hope to see Father Christmas and his huskies.
